Regular maintenance of PT6 engine is important

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

Pratt & Whitney manufactured PT6 engine is favorite of many pilots worldwide. Even after 40 years, this turboprop engine is still popular and widely used. This engine ahs many variants, PT6A being the most popular.

Regular cleaning and maintenance of the engine is important for a smooth functioning.

If servicing is not done regularly, then performance of the engine can reduce and can also cause problems. The pt6 fuel nozzles are very important for the performance of engine. The PT6 engine has at least 14 duplex and simplex fuel nozzles which need to be repaired frequently. There are many service stations which carry out fuel nozzle inspection which includes checking the spraying and leaking pattern. Repair centers have trained technicians carrying out the inspections and repairs. Many companies claim to offer good PT6 Overhaul services but one must be cautious before making a final decision. FAA certified companies, which have good service, facilities should be chosen. a look at their website and inventory can also give a good idea about the company. There are some specialist companies which offer PT6 Engine Overhaul services at a reasonable cost and without any compromise on the quality of services.

Boys

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Now that I have two sons, I seem to have gained an extra one in the form of my husband. He loves taking them to the toy shop and playing with every RC car that there is. In fact he will only let them have a short go and then he will have a really long go. I think that he was secretly always hoping we would have boys so that he would get a chance to regress to his childhood and have fun like this. Last time we were in a toy shop they were fighting over whose turn it was on the RC helicopters. It gets really embarrassing when he asks to try them all out, asks the shop assistant lots of questions and spend sage sin there when he never buys anything and in fact never has any intention of buying anything in there I suppose I should be glad that they spend so much time playing in the shops because it does mean that we do not have to buy so many tops and apart from a Traxxas stampede we do not have a great deal of big expensive toys which is a relief. They make enough mess with what they have and so it is good that they do not have that many.

Joining a Fraternity

Monday, June 7th, 2010

It can be a tough transition moving away from your family and into a college or university that seems foreign, but exciting all at the same time. After getting settled in, students should seriously consider joining a fraternity within their school since it offers quite a bit of benefits during and after their college careers. It can also keep alive a tradition between family members who have all been part of a particular frat.

If you do join a fraternity, it will be an ideal opportunity to start networking for after college. You might even end up with a job before you even graduate. Your brothers will also be a big help during your college career. You can buy some Tau Kappa Epsilon gear online and wear them proudly with your fellow brothers. All you have to remember is to not become one of those cautionary tales that end up in the hospital because of alcohol poisoning or hazing. Being smart enough to avoid these things will help you problem solve for the future as well when you are put in a difficult position. So go online to greekgear.com and use those Greek gear coupons to find the frat that’s right for you.
