I have a business meeting to attend in Portland next month so I have been looking for some good hotels in Maine. I have never been to Maine before but from what I have heard it is a beautiful place with lots of scenery. Although the meeting is just for two days I am planning to take time off thereafter & then explore the whole state for another couple of weeks. Portland as I have been told is the largest city in Maine & that would be my first stop. Hopefully I could find some quality Maine hotels so as to get a taste of all the stuffs that the state has got to offer.
I was actually hoping to get some package deal just for that exact purpose. But unfortunately most of the holiday packages are already gone. This is quite surprising to me. Since the holiday season has just kick-started & all the packages are gone. So, now I am left with little choice other than making all the travel arrangements on my own. In the hindsight I guess I should not have turned down my company`s offer to arrange my travel plans. Even if I had to spend more time in Maine, I could have just asked my company to manage everything, as simple as that.
